Mistlands boss pages start with preparation because most failed attempts are loadout, arena, or resistance mistakes.

Before entering the citadel

The Queen is an endurance check. The fight is much safer when the entry route, food replacement, repair access, and death recovery are already planned.

  • +Place and label the recovery portal before entering so the run back is obvious under pressure.
  • +Carry food for a long attempt, not just one clean damage window.
  • +Bring a damage plan for the boss and a separate answer for add pressure.

Add control first

The fight becomes harder when adds stack faster than you clear them. Treat add control as part of boss damage, because surviving cleanly keeps every later phase manageable.

  • +Clear pressure before chasing damage if seekers or brood start taking over the room.
  • +Use terrain and room transitions to reset bad angles instead of fighting every enemy in the open.
  • +In co-op, assign one player to call add pressure so the group does not tunnel on the boss.

Food and build choice

The Queen supports different builds, but mixed preparation is dangerous. Decide whether you are leaning physical, magic, or hybrid, then carry food and meads that support that plan.

  • +Physical builds need enough stamina to reposition and enough health to survive mistakes.
  • +Magic builds need eitr food and a backup plan for moments when eitr is empty.
  • +Do not enter with experimental gear unless you can recover the corpse safely.

After The Queen

Do not sail straight into Ashlands with the same mindset used for Mistlands. Ashlands is an expedition biome, so the next move is ship, portal, fire resistance, and backup planning.

  • +Secure the boss drop and return home before starting the Ashlands route.
  • +Restock fire resistance, endgame food, healing, and spare gear for the first landing.
  • +Open the Ashlands route before committing your main ship and best inventory to a new shore.
