Mountain boss pages start with preparation because most failed attempts are loadout, arena, or resistance mistakes.

Egg transport plan

Moder preparation starts before the altar. Dragon eggs are heavy enough that moving them without a route plan wastes time and creates avoidable deaths on steep terrain.

  • +Find the altar first, then decide whether to move eggs by staged portals, cart paths, ship access, or short mountain hauls.
  • +Do not carry all eggs through unknown terrain; stage them near safe landmarks after the route is tested.
  • +Keep frost resistance and food active during transport because the egg run still has normal Mountain danger.

Arena and portal placement

A good Moder arena gives you room to dodge breath attacks, line-of-sight bad angles, and recover after a death. The portal should support recovery without sitting inside the fight.

  • +Place the portal below the altar or behind terrain so Moder does not break it during the fight.
  • +Clear wolves, drakes, and stone golem pressure before summoning.
  • +Flatten or learn the local slope enough that you know where not to dodge.

Fight rhythm

Moder alternates between air pressure and landing windows. The safe plan is steady ranged damage in the air, controlled melee or bow damage on landing, and no chasing into bad slopes.

  • +Keep stamina for repositioning; one extra arrow is not worth being trapped on a cliff edge.
  • +Use landing windows for short controlled damage, then reset spacing before the next breath pattern.
  • +If the fight drifts into steep or uncleared terrain, pull back toward the prepared area instead of following blindly.

After Moder

Dragon tears unlock the artisan table, which starts the Plains production chain. The next goal is not random exploration; it is building the crafting base that turns black metal, barley, and flax into real progression.

  • +Return home, build the artisan table, and confirm blast furnace and windmill needs.
  • +Prepare Plains food and fire resistance wine before deep village raids.
  • +Use the Plains route before spending black metal scraps without a gear plan.
